Author and Theologian

I submit that there is something special to be discovered in the theological exploration of Paul’s brief story of Phoebe. It is in this theological inquiry that the church might find a reason to consider why a woman can be ordained a deacon and that the ontological change of baptism may well be the sole requirement for clerical ordination. One day, we might welcome a Deacon Phoebe, “Welcome her in the Lord as is fitting for the saints,” as Paul suggested.
